Ronald Nash, CPA, brings more than 30 years of experience to his role as a Partner at Marks Paneth & Shron. In this capacity, he provides audit and advisory services to individuals and commercial enterprises as well as to pension plans.
Mr. Nash has spent his entire career with Marks Paneth & Shron and its predecessor firms. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). He served on the AICPA’s Auditing Standards Board Task Force which was responsible for drafting the Statement of Auditing Standards Regarding Reporting on Financial Statements Used in Other Countries. He is also a member of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and chaired both the Accounting for International Operations Committee and the Affiliated and Related Corporations Tax Committee. He is currently a member of the NYSSCPA’s Employee Benefits Committee.
Mr. Nash is a former chair of JHI, a worldwide association of independent firms of accountants, tax and management consultants. As the chair of the global organization, he oversaw the operations of the association.
An accomplished author and lecturer, Mr. Nash has given presentations to the NYSSCPA, the AICPA and JHI. He is a coauthor of Professional Accounting in Belgium, which is part of the AICPA’s Professional Accounting in Foreign Countries Series. He also wrote an article entitled “Preparing Small and Middle Market Companies for Europe,” which was published in the CPA Journal. He also co-authroed an article entitled "Increasing Business Cash Flow with an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan)."
In his off hours, Mr. Nash volunteers his time with local educational groups. He is a currently a member of the board of directors of the Lynbrook Excellence in Education Foundation. For nine years, Mr. Nash served as a trustee of the Lynbrook School District.
Ronald Nash holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a Master of Business Administration in Taxation from Baruch College also of the City University of New York. He is licensed to practice in New York State and works out of Marks Paneth & Shron’s midtown Manhattan headquarters. He resides in East Rockaway, New York.
