Steven Schochet, CPA

Steven Schochet, CPA, brings more than 30 years of public accounting experience to his position as a Partner at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP. In this role, Mr. Schochet provides audit and accounting services to a full spectrum of clients, including broker dealers, leasing companies, law firms and manufacturers, among others. He also has a significant concentration in real estate, including real estate developers, managing agents, commercial property owners, and those involved in the management and development of co-ops, condominiums, and low-income housing.

Before joining Marks Paneth & Shron, Mr. Schochet spent 13 years at a global accounting firm. There, he primarily specialized in SEC-related matters, handling GAAS and GAAP issues.

Mr. Schochet is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs. Additionally, he has lectured for the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Schochet holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Long Island University. He is based in Marks Paneth & Shron’s New York City headquarters and resides in Melville, New York.
