Steven Bergerson, CPA, brings more than 40 years of general accounting, consulting and tax advisory experience to his role as a Senior Consultant at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP. Throughout his career, he has provided accounting and tax advisory services to a significant number of clients in the area of real estate, investment partnerships, professional service firms, commercial entities and individuals and their families.

Prior to joining Marks Paneth & Shron, Mr. Bergerson was a Managing Partner at Leipziger & Breskin LLP, a Manhattan-based accounting firm that combined with Marks Paneth & Shron in 2006. Mr. Bergerson spent most of his career at Leipziger & Breskin, where he was instrumental in the firm’s growth and development.

He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). In addition to these and other professional activities, he is involved with a number of charitable organizations on the East End of Long Island.

Mr. Bergerson holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clarkson University. He is licensed to practice public accounting in New York. He resides in Manhattan and Amagansett, Long Island.
