Marshall Steinman, CPA, LLB, is a Senior Consultant at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP. Mr. Steinman has provided business and tax consulting to high net worth individuals, their families, charitable enterprises and privately held businesses for more than 40 years.

Prior to joining Marks Paneth & Shron, Mr. Steinman held the position of Co-Managing Partner at Tarrytown-based Platt, Barth, Elson & Steinman, P.C., a firm which he co-founded in the 1960s. Mr. Steinman played an instrumental role in shaping the firm, employing a philosophy of client-focus to ensure that relationships built with clients would be long-lasting. He spent his career at the helm of Platt, Barth, Elson & Steinman until it combined with Marks Paneth & Shron in 2007.

Mr. Steinman is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs (including the organization’s Westchester Chapter), the American Association of Attorney CPAs and the Westchester Estate Planning Council.

He is licensed to practice accounting in New York State. He holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws degree from New York University. Additionally, Mr. Steinman has completed graduate level work in the taxation law program at New York University. He works out of Marks Paneth & Shron’s Westchester office and resides in Scarsdale, New York.
