Daniel Kesner, CPA, is a Partner in the Family Office and Business Management Group at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP. Mr. Kesner has nearly 25 years of experience working in both professional public service firms and in the private sector. He serves as a trusted personal advisor and is committed to identifying and capitalizing on financial opportunities as well as identifying and resolving financial challenges for his clients.

Mr. Kesner provides family office and business management services to a varied client base including businesses as well as high-net-worth individuals and their families. His broad background includes providing a full spectrum of financial, accounting, tax and ancillary services.

The Family Office and Business Management Group was established to provide clients with a single, independent point of contact to assist them with organizing and maintaining control of their financial affairs. Mr. Kesner leads a team that provides assistance with services including cash management, financial reporting and planning, day-to-day bookkeeping services, estate/wealth preservation, tax planning and tax return preparation, payroll tax returns for business and household employees, insurance overview and analysis, investment tracking and reporting, construction project oversight, vendor negotiations, arranging and facilitating bank financing and fostering banking relationships.

Prior to joining Marks Paneth & Shron, his experience includes serving as a managing director and a committee member of an investment advisory firm that had in excess of $2 billion of assets under management. Mr. Kesner has also served as a member of the board of directors of a high-fashion clothing company.

In November 2009, Financier Worldwide magazine quoted Mr. Kesner regarding changes in wealth management services in an article entitled “Wealth Management for High Net Worth Individuals.”

Mr. Kesner holds a Bachelor of Science from the School of Management of the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is based in Marks Paneth & Shron’s midtown Manhattan headquarters.
