Donald M. May, Ph.D., is a Director in the Litigation and Corporate Financial Advisory Services Group at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP. Dr. May has nearly 20 years of experience working in industry and in public accounting as well as teaching at the university level.

His broad background includes deep experience in valuation, litigation and strategic consulting including developing and implementing asset valuation, lost profit, lost enterprise value, risk assessment models, intellectual asset valuation, complex claims valuation and cost-of-capital calculation.

Dr. May has prepared expert reports and expert witness testimony related to business valuation, hedge fund valuation, lost profits, lost enterprise value, time-series forecast models, asset and investment portfolio valuation and statistical forecasting models and methodologies.

A former assistant professor of management in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting in the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. May has been published in several distinguished academic and practitioner journals.

Dr. May received a Ph.D. and an MBA in finance, economics, econometrics and statistics from the University of Chicago. He is based in Marks Paneth & Shron’s midtown Manhattan headquarters and resides in Mount Kisco, New York.
