Richard Nathan is a Principal at Marks Paneth & Shron LLP. He is also the President of Tailored Technologies LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marks Paneth & Shron that provides external technology and management consulting services. His areas of expertise encompass management consulting, including accounting software selection, project management, litigation support, and technology assessment. He also provides network services, business process improvement and business continuity planning. Additionally, he counts nonprofits and real estate as areas of specialty.

Mr. Nathan founded Tailored Technologies in 1985. Over the years, he built a successful consulting practice in the areas of technology resource management, business process improvement, and systems design, procurement and implementation. In 1997, Mr. Nathan entered into a collaborative arrangement with Marks Paneth & Shron with the objective of providing the firm’s clients technology consulting and support. Due to the success of this arrangement, Marks Paneth & Shron fully acquired Tailored Technologies LLC in 2000.

Mr. Nathan is a member of the National Computer Association, The New York State Software Industry Association, The Institute of Management Consultants, The Business Process Management Group, The American Society of Association Executives, The Institute of Internal Auditors and the New York Society of Association Executives, where he has served on the Technology Committee. He has presented before many associations and professional organizations, including the New York Association of Association Executives, the New York State Rehabilitation Association, and the New York State Society of CPAs, on topics ranging from software selection to IT resource planning to hiring the right technology staff. Additionally, Tailored Technologies has been featured in Business Week and Association Executive. In his spare time, Mr. Nathan volunteers for Earth Justice and the Sierra Club.

Richard Nathan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Pace University. He is based in the midtown Manhattan headquarters of Marks Paneth & Shron, and he resides in Livingston, New Jersey.
