Marks Paneth Appoints Keith Peterka as Partner-in-Charge of Its Professional Standards Group
October 12, 2015Marks Paneth LLP has named Keith Peterka, CPA, 45, as Partner-in-Charge of the accounting firm's Professional Standards Group. The group oversees overall compliance with and implementation of accounting, auditing and attestation standards set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Mr. Peterka has more than 20 years of experience dealing with complex auditing and financial reporting issues. He has extensive experience advising clients on business combinations, fair value, variable interest entities and revenue recognition issues. Additionally, during his assignments in Europe and Asia, Mr. Peterka worked with middle-market and multinational clients on issues relating to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
