(NEW YORK, NY-- Feb. 18, 2016) - Leading accounting, tax and advisory firm, Marks Paneth LLP, is pleased to announce that four partners have joined the firm, effective January 1, 2016.
Isidor Hefter, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Tax Group. With more than 30 years’ experience, Mr. Hefter specializes in tax planning and research for corporate and high-net-worth individuals, estate tax planning and representation before the Internal Revenue Service, as well as the State and City of New York. Mr. Hefter maintains a diversified practice which includes the real estate and entertainment industries. He is based in the firm’s midtown Manhattan headquarters.
Avery E. Neumark, CPA, JD, LL.M., is a Partner in the firm’s Tax Group. Mr. Neumark is an attorney with more than 35 years’ experience in employee benefits and executive compensation, as well as ERISA, pension audits, health and welfare plans, and compensation consulting. Mr. Neumark is a member of several premier professional organizations and serves on their employee benefits-related committees. He is based in the firm’s midtown Manhattan headquarters.
Frank A. Petitto, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group. With more than 30 years’ experience, Mr. Petitto specializes in audit services for the construction, real estate, insurance and apparel industries. In addition, he serves closely-held businesses, providing estate and financial planning services. He is based in the firm’s Woodbury, Long Island office.
Neil A. Sonenberg, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group. Mr. Sonenberg brings more than 35 years’ experience serving the real estate industry, including commercial building owners, operators and developers, apartment building operators, building maintenance services, co-op and condominium boards, and Common Interest Realty Associations. In addition, Mr. Sonenberg advises on tax structuring in real estate transactions and has performed extensive forensic work. While Mr. Sonenberg has a primary focus on real estate, he maintains a diversified practice. He is based in the firm’s midtown Manhattan headquarters.
