Marks Paneth's John D'Amico Invited to Present at CTCPA's Governmental Accounting and Auditing Conference on May 17

Leading accounting, tax and advisory firm, Marks Paneth LLP, is pleased to announce that John D’Amico, CPA, Director with the firm’s Nonprofit, Government and Healthcare Group will present, “Ensuring Compliance with OMB’s Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards” at the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (CTCPA) Governmental Accounting and Auditing Conference in Rocky Hill, Connecticut on Wednesday, May 17.

Mr. D’Amico’s session will outline the numerous responsibilities that a federal grant recipient must fulfill to comply with Uniform Guidance regulations and requirements – such as the Federal Procurement Standards; Subrecipient Monitoring; and Allowable Costs, including Personnel Services. In addition, he will cover the specific requirements for both the auditee administrating the federal award, and the auditor performing a Single Audit under the Uniform Guidance.

Mr. D'Amico has more than 20 years' experience providing accounting and auditing services to nonprofit organizations and higher education and governmental entities. He brings extensive knowledge of nonprofit accounting and auditing, and expertise in the performance of Single Audits under OMB Circular A-133 and, now, under the new Uniform Guidance.
