Christopher D. Wright, JD, CPA, is a Director in the Tax Practice at Marks Paneth LLP. His focus within the firm is estate planning and gift, estate and trust taxation.
With over 30 years of experience in accounting, tax and nonprofit organizations, he is adept at developing estate plans that are tailored to the client’s and their family’s needs. Mr. Wright began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. working in their Portland, Oregon and New York offices. Prior to joining Marks Paneth in 2014, he was in private practice. His practice in Portland, Oregon focused on assisting business owners with their accounting, legal and tax needs. Mr. Wright also works with clients and their other professional advisors to develop estate plans to transfer family businesses and wealth to the next generation. His estate planning experience includes special focus on the changing needs of same-sex couples.
In addition to Mr. Wright’s experience in estate planning, he is knowledgeable in the administration of complex estates and trusts. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards and since the beginning of his career has worked with nonprofits in the healthcare, arts and entertainment industries.
