Christopher Wright Elected to Board of Directors of EPCNYC

New York, NY (June 4, 2020)Christopher Wright, a Partner in the Tax Practice at Marks Paneth LLP, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of New York City, Inc. (EPCNYC) as a Director of Accounting. Directors serve three-year terms and are given assignments each year that support the work of the committees and the board in general.

Mr. Wright has over 30 years of experience in accounting, tax and non-profit organizations. His primary role is to advise clients and their professional advisors on estate and trust administration; specifically, addressing the areas of estate and inheritance tax returns, fiduciary income tax, estate and gift planning, distributions to beneficiaries and representation before federal and state tax authorities. He also works with fiduciaries and their counsel on complex fiduciary accountings and litigation support. His estate planning experience includes a special focus on the changing needs of same-sex couples and their families.

EPCNYC is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. Since its inception in 1959, the Council's primary objective has been to provide a better understanding of the services performed by attorneys, life underwriters, trust officers, accountants and others substantially involved in estate planning and to promote cooperation among them.
