Clarence (Guy) O. Peterson IV Joins Marks Paneth as Partner in the Professional Standards Group

New York, NY – Top 100 accounting, tax and advisory firm Marks Paneth LLP, has announced that Clarence (Guy) O. Peterson IV, CPA, has joined the firm as a Partner in the firm’s Professional Standards Group.

Mr. Peterson joins an established team of professionals responsible for reviewing the firm’s attest engagements and ensuring adherence to all professional standards. In his new role, Mr. Peterson will be involved with issues concerning auditing, accounting and independence standards, as well as perform engagement quality control reviews of attest engagements.

With more than 30 years of experience in accounting and auditing, his expertise includes Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, internal controls over financial reporting (SOX), US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  Mr. Peterson has performed engagement quality control reviews (EQCRs) and managed internal inspections, both domestically and globally. His extensive experience will be beneficial to the growth of the firm’s Professional Standards practice.
