Abe Schlisselfeld Named Among Crain’s Notable in Real Estate
January 27, 2021New York, NY (January 27, 2021) – Abe Schlisselfeld, Managing Partner of leading accounting, tax and advisory firm Marks Paneth LLP, was named among the most Notable in Real Estate by Crain’s New York Business. This list honors those who have impacted the New York City real estate industry through their professional, civic and philanthropic achievements.
Mr. Schlisselfeld, former Partner-in-Charge of Marks Paneth’s Real Estate Group, one of the oldest and largest practice groups within the firm, has dedicated his entire 20+ year career to serving New York’s real estate market. A prominent thought leader, he regularly contributes to discussions on a host of pressing industry issues, including the tax benefits and implications of the Qualified Opportunity Zones program. In 2020, he was selected one of the “Top 25 Opportunity Zone Influencers” in the Tax Specialist category by Opportunity Zone Magazine due to his vision, influence and experience in this area. Mr. Schlisselfeld’s leadership extends beyond the workplace and into the community, where he is actively involved in many charitable, educational and social service organizations.
In recognition of his many contributions to the firm and his exceptional leadership, Mr. Schlisselfeld was elected Managing Partner of the firm and began serving in that capacity alongside Harry Moehringer on January 1, 2021. He is succeeded by Neil Sonenberg and Michael Siino, Co-Partners-in-Charge of the firm’s Real Estate Group.
