Christopher A. Cacace, CPA, is the Partner-in-Charge of the Theater, Media and Entertainment Group at Marks Paneth LLP and the leader of the firm's Westchester office. He has a deep expertise serving theater and entertainment clients and has done so for more than 30 years. He started his career in accounting at Pinto Winokur & Pagano CPAs (PWP), which was then the pre-eminent theatrical accounting firm.
He is a trusted business adviser and advises his clients on all facets of accounting and tax issues. His entertainment clients include a significant number of high profile First Class and Off-Broadway theatrical production companies, performing in New York City as well as touring companies in the US and internationally, as well as producers and other industry professionals.
In addition, Mr. Cacace has worked with privately owned companies in a variety of industries, providing accounting, auditing and related services to businesses as well as owners.
Mr. Cacace has given presentations to the Broadway League, financial institutions and law firms on a variety of topics. He also consults with several not-for-profit theater companies.
Mr. Cacace worked consistently with the PWP theater practice, which through a series of mergers eventually became part of a global firm, and later a successor firm which was headed by his mentors Bernard Rosenberg and Francis Neuwirth. Mr. Cacace became a partner in 1997 and joined Marks Paneth LLP in 2013.
