Alyssa Forslund, JD, serves as Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel and is a Principal with Marks Paneth LLP. In this role, which leverages her extensive industry experience and her participation serving as a key member of the firm's leadership team, Ms. Forslund is instrumental in aligning the firm’s risk initiatives across all practices and service lines. Her responsibilities include strengthening the firm’s ability to identify and manage risks, developing best practices, policies and procedures to mitigate risks, and developing internal training programs to promote risk awareness among partners and staff. Ms. Forslund is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and works closely with the firm’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Forslund worked at a New York City law firm specializing in litigation. She is admitted to the bar in New York State and is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

Ms. Forslund has authored material on various industry topics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Union College and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School. Ms. Forslund is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Ms. Forslund is based in Marks Paneth’s midtown Manhattan headquarters.
