Gina Citrola, CPA, HCCP is a Director in the Real Estate Group at Marks Paneth LLP. Since joining the firm in 2002, Ms. Citrola has provided audit and tax services to a wide range of clients in the real estate and commercial business industries, including residential and commercial rental properties, condominiums and service-based corporations.

Ms. Citrola specializes in helping real estate owners and managers of properties regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects governed by Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code. As a housing credit certified professional (“HCCP”), Ms. Citrola assists owners through the acquisition, rehabilitation, lease-up and operating phases of affordable housing projects. She conducts cost certification and financial statement audits, and consults on the accounting of complex transactions, best practices for regulatory compliance and tax planning strategies for the underlying owners.

Ms. Citrola’s experience also includes audit and tax work for nonprofits, professional service firms and employee benefit plans. She is based in the firm’s Woodbury, NY office on Long Island.
