Darya Shneyder, CPA

Darya Shneyder, CPA, is a Partner in the Real Estate Group at Marks Paneth LLP.  Ms. Shneyder specializes in providing accounting, auditing, tax and advisory services to commercial and residential real estate owners, developers, and co-ops and condominiums. She also specializes in securing real estate tax reduction via certiorari audit filings. Ms. Shneyder works closely with client’s officers and directors to establish a personalized audit approach to efficiently execute an attestation engagement. She has in-depth experience in preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as preparation of financial statements on the income tax basis of accounting.

With more than 15 years of experience in public accounting, Ms. Shneyder’s background also includes audit and tax services for the manufacturing and distribution industry, and employee benefit plan audits. She advises high-net-worth individuals and estate and trust planning clients.

She works closely with the firm’s Professional Standards Group to ensure strict adherence to accounting standard frameworks. In every client engagement, she strives to maximize clients’ resources to gain greater operational efficiencies and tax savings for their companies. Ms. Shneyder leads the Real Estate Group attestation CPE committee, which provides relevant and timely technical training to members of the group.

Ms. Shneyder has received extensive industry recognition for her professionalism and hard work.
