Marks Paneth Managing Partner Abe Schlisselfeld, CPA, EA, will lead the panel discussion on “Opportunity Zones, Urban Investments & Re-Emerging Local Markets” at the Winter Forum. A nationally recognized expert on the Qualified Opportunity Zones program created by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, Schlisselfeld has been honored as one of 2020’s “Top 25 Opportunity Zone Influencers” in the Tax Specialist category by Opportunity Zone Magazine. He has advised commercial and residential real estate owners, management firms and real estate investment trusts (REITs) on all facets of accounting and taxation.

The Winter Forum, the largest event of its kind on the West Coast, will tackle many issues that are impacting real estate investors today, such as:
